Hi, I’m katherine.
Fifteen years ago I tentatively walked into my first acupuncture treatment. Reticence was quickly replaced by wonder. I was immediately taken, fascinated by this new lens for the body - an understanding akin to that of poetry and philosophy, yet one that felt more cohesive and complete than anything I had previously known.
I’ve taken the road less travelled since I was born. Raised by an iconoclastic mother who left the western medical system when I was five, I grew up on a foundation of holistic therapies, food as medicine, and an unwavering belief in the body’s innate healing wisdom. She taught me to understand the body as inseparable from the world around us. My work is now anchored in this philosophy, honoring the body’s entelechy - its own inner knowledge and blueprint. Today this finds expression through my work in Chinese Medicine and its Five Elements, CranioSacral, manual lymphatic drainage, and the healing principles of alchemy.
My own life has taught me to find poetry and guidance in chaos, to sail life’s storms with equal parts resilience and grace. It has been the classroom in which I learned that true healing is alchemical, a process that asks both patient and practitioner to meet in active partnership. Real health isn’t about forcing the body; it’s about partnering in such a way that its natural intelligence can be revealed, heard, and understood.
I was first introduced to acupuncture in my own pursuit of peace and regulation, and my immediate and total fascination with its alternative lens of the body lead me to choose it as my own path. I wanted to learn this language that was so counterculture to the western understanding of the body. Over the years my practice has evolved into a multi-dimensional, integrative approach. I do what lights me up, so I can hold space for
the life force and healing capacity innate to every patient who walks through my door.
Along this path, I have come to believe that beauty is one of the most healing experiences we can encounter and have integrated this centrally into my practice. To witness beauty is to be moved — to be inspired to live. To feel beauty can heal our relationship with our core selves. It’s why I incorporate everything from flower essences and tuning fork therapy to alchemy and astrology.
My mission is to cultivate harmony and empower patients to engage deeply in their own journey of transformation and well-being. True health lies not in the isolation of symptoms, but in the integration of the whole — honoring the body as the soil in which our mental and emotional well-being grows.
About
Katherine N. Jaeger, MS LAc, is a NYS licensed and board-certified acupuncturist with over a decade of clinical experience. She earned her Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture. Her clinical practice interweaves Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Japanese style of Kiiko Matsumoto (KM), and Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM) with trigger point therapy. She is additionally certified in Facial Rejuvenation and Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture styles which she has been practicing since her earliest days as an acupuncturist.
It is has long been Katherine’s desire to participate in a medical model that accounts for the totality of the person - a medicine that recognizes healing as a integration of multiple levels. For her this dream unfolded in the field of Chinese Medicine - one of the five globally recognized complete medical systems. While we are fortunate to have the increasingly deep and specialized knowledge contributed by modern medicine, in our efforts to go deeper and specialize more, we have increasingly isolated function from the greater whole. Systems inherently need harmony to work. Long-term health and healing are fundamentally more about systems than parts and to experience enduring health and longevity we need to restore this path.
